Book Boroughing is a site dedicated to keeping you up-to-date on literary events in New York City and the surrounding boroughs. In addition to our calendar of readings and launch parties, from time to time we’ll bring you conversations with authors coming to town and with those in the community who organize these events and those who go to them.
The people behind Book Boroughing are:
Gabrielle Gantz is a book publicist by day and a literary event goer by night. In between she reads lots of books, watches almost as many movies, and blogs all about them at The Contextual Life. For more arts & culture news than you can handle, follow her on Twitter at @contextual_life. (She likes when people introduce themselves at events so say hello if you see her in the crowd.)
David Gutowski is a writer and the tireless blogger behind the music and literature website Largehearted Boy. He also curates and hosts the monthly Largehearted Lit reading series at Brooklyn’s WORD bookstore. For a continuous stream of music, literary, and pop culture news, follow him on Twitter at @largeheartedboy. (He also likes meeting fellow book lovers, and can often be found at literary events, usually seated next to the person pictured above, so please say hello.)
Many thanks to Charrow, a Brooklyn-based illustrator, who kindly created the Book Boroughing logo. You can find more of her work at Charrow.com.
